Nickel Copper pipe is an alloy pipe composed of nickel and copper, usually in the form of white copper (Cupronickel). Corrosion resistance
Nickel-copper alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to seawater, acidic environment, alkaline media, especially in the Marine environment, so it is often used in ships, seawater desalination systems, etc.
High thermal and electrical conductivity
Copper itself has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, which remains at a high level after adding nickel, and is suitable for heat exchangers, condensing pipes, etc.
Mechanical property
The addition of nickel improves the strength, hardness and wear resistance of copper, while maintaining good ductility and easy processing.
Anti-biological contamination
Nickel-copper alloy has a certain inhibitory effect on the attachment of Marine organisms (such as barnacles, algae), and is suitable for long-term underwater use.
Low temperature performance
It can still maintain good toughness in low temperature environment, suitable for refrigeration equipment, LNG (liquefied natural gas) pipelines, etc.
Common brand
C70600 (CuNi10Fe1Mn) : containing 10% nickel, 1% iron and a small amount of manganese, widely used in seawater piping systems.
C71500 (CuNi30Mn1Fe) : Containing 30% nickel, better corrosion resistance, suitable for high corrosion environments.
Monel 400 (Ni-Cu alloy) : the nickel content is about 67%, copper 30%, with strong acid corrosion resistance, used in chemical and petroleum industries.
